Kyle
R. B. Grossman, 17, of Cave Creek unexpectedly passed
away Monday, January 1, 2007.
Kyle
was born on January 23, 1989 in Columbia, Maryland to Glenn
and Patricia (Witkowski) Grossman. The family later moved
to Chicago and then Scottsdale, settling in Cave Creek,
Ariz. in 1995, where Kyle enjoyed many sports including
baseball, basketball, volleyball, bowling and soccer. He
attended Cave Creek schools until 2005 and was finishing
his high school education online. He had a passion for electronic
games, music and his electric guitar, which he taught himself
to play. He loved to fish and swim in Lake Pleasant from
his father’s pontoon boat, shoot shotguns and pistols, and
ride his father’s quad.
Survivors
include his mother, Patricia; father, Glenn; sister Kelly;
and brothers, Mark and Patrick.
A
memorial celebration of Kyle’s life will be held Tuesday,
January 9, 2007, at 5 p.m. at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary,
8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd in Scottsdale, Ariz. Funeral services
will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2007,
at Northridge Community Church at 6363 E. Dynamite Blvd.,
Cave Creek, Ariz.
The
family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be
made to Northridge Community Church at 6363 E. Dynamite
Blvd., Cave Creek, Ariz. 85331, in Kyle’s name.

Penelope
Corolyn Cox, known as “Penny,” passed away peacefully on
December 31, 2006, while surrounded by the caring staff of Loving
Manor.
She
is predeceased by her father, John R. Cox; her mother, Corolyn
B. Cox; her brother, John Cox; and her sister, Jane Gray.
She
is survived by her niece, Eileen Santlal and her family; husband,
Simon; daughters, Sherilyn, Debbie, and Shauna; brother, Bob
Gray and wife Dorothy. Also, Paolo Soleri and daughters Kristine,
Daniella, and families.
Penny
was born in Lahore, India, on May 16, 1922. She lived in England,
South Africa, and British Columbia, where she attended university.
She then joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and later
moved to California. In the fifties she moved to Cave Creek
to take care of her parents
in their home. Penny had an illustrious career as a travel agent
in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Cave Creek. She was well
known and loved by her friends in Cave Creek.
Her hobby of photographing nature was aided by the frequent
visits of quail, roadrunners, deer, and javelina to her home.
Penny belonged to Arizona Woman in Travel and she was a board
member of the Soroptimist Club and Preservation of Wildlife.
She wrote many articles about nature and desert life. Penny
so enjoyed taking tea on the terrace of Loving Manor and watching
the birds and other wildlife. She will be greatly missed by
her many friends. A celebration of her life will be held at
the English Rose Tea Room in Carefree, Arizona on Sunday, January
14, 1‑4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations
in Penny’s name to Foothill’s Animal Rescue, P.O. box 4865,
Cave Creek, AZ 85327
