Thousands
of tons of rock, soil and beams for rebuilding Pinnacle
Peak Park’s retaining walls were transported by helicopter
starting at 9
a.m. on Tuesday. The park was closed so the materials
could be delivered but will remain open during the
eight‑week maintenance project. Scottsdale’s
Parks and Recreation Division is overseeing the work
through a $44,000 grant. The Rotary Club of Pinnacle
Peak contributed about $10,000 for the helicopter.
