Let’s
take care of our own
Everyone
is looking forward to the new Cave Creek Road streetscape
project to be completed. It promises to enhance the
beauty of the area and make the town more pedestrian‑friendly.
But
there are growing pains. About one dozen businesses
along the path of the construction work are hurting
because the construction takes up parking spaces or
makes it difficult for shoppers to reach these merchants.
Let’s
take care of our own by going the proverbial extra
mile to get through the construction and continue
to patronize these merchants.
Among
those businesses affected are: The Epicurean Palette;
Flat Tire Bike Shop; Cosmopolitan Beads; Desert Rose
Florists; Tycha’s Beyond the Border World Imports;
the shops at Frontier Village; Prudential Real Estate;
Oak’s Diner; Blue Coyote Gallery; Barber Styling by
Gene and Desert Foothills Dance.
Businesses
such as these are the lifeblood of our community.
They attract winter visitors.
They
add to the uniqueness of Cave Creek, and their sales
tax revenue makes other public works projects possible.
Let’s
do what all good neighbors do and take the time to
take care of each other.
