One killed in motorcycle crash

CAVE CREEK – A 46‑year‑old woman was killed in a head‑on collision Saturday evening after the motorcycle she was riding on jumped the median on Cave Creek Road.

The Phoenix Police Department reported Lynnlee Goebel, no address available, was driving southbound on North Cave Creek Road about 6:42 p.m. on her 2003 Harley Davidson when she apparently lost control and went over the raised median near Ashler Hills. She collided with a 2004 Volkswagon Beetle driven by Bernice Dale, 67.

Police did not know the extent of Dale’s injuries, if any.

The police said alcohol may be a factor in the crash and that the investigation is continuing.

The crash reportedly tied up traffic on North Cave Creek Road for several hours Saturday evening.
