Lost donkey

Dos the donkey is missed by me and especially by his stable mate, Yuri the horse. Yuri has not eaten much since Dos’ disappearance and mostly stands in a corner of the pasture fence looking for him. On Sunday, March 11, we were out riding in the Tonto National Forest and coming back in the afternoon from Rondo Spring, which is just below the pass to Cave Creek and Spur Cross Preserve. We became separated and I went back and forth to where I last saw him that day, then rode all the way back to Rondo again–to no avail.

Dos was wearing red saddle bags and a maroon halter with a dark blue lead rope. He is small, grey and with the wild burro dorsal and shoulder black stripes. He is very friendly and comes to his name. I am afraid that he may have followed some other riders home.

Please call me if you have any information regarding Dos.
