Desert hike scheduled

The Canyon Church of Christ is hosting a hike scheduled for March 24 at Badger Springs, located north of Black Canyon City.

The hike leaves the Diamond Canyon parking lot at 8 a.m.

Participants are welcome to meet for lunch at a nearby restaurant following the hike.

DVUSD hosts free Parents as Partners Seminars

DVUSD – The Deer Valley Unified School District Parent/Community Involvement is offering three free seminars to parents and community members. 

No registration is required. Choose the dates that best meet your needs and attend. Childcare will not be provided.

Seminars start at 6:30 p.m. and last approximately one hour.

Parents as Partners Spring Seminars are sponsored by the Deer Valley Education Foundation. For more information on Parents as Parents, contact Kenna Hough, Parent/Community Involvement Manager at (623) 445‑5017.

Circle D opens

The Circle D opens this week at 37645 N. Cave Creek Road. across from Cave Creek Town Hall. Partners Dean Correnti and Dan Clingman say that everybody is welcome into the completely redecorated and refurbished surroundings. Their motto is “Good Food, Good Friends,” and they have developed an extensive menu to prove their point. The family‑oriented dining room will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., while the bustling bar will stay open until midnight. St. Patricks Day promises to be a lively affair at The Circle D.
