Mezzo‑soprano
Lindsey performs operas, oratorios and concerts throughout the
United States and Europe and continues to teach voice/piano.
She has studied with some of the leading classical vocalists
in the world.
The
couple creates and performs shows for large corporations, public/private
organizations and parties with their group Hearts in Harmony.
“We
do old standards like ‘Old Black Magic,’ ‘Come Rain or Come
Shine’ and Broadway duets such as ‘Music of the Night’ from
‘Phantom of the Opera’ with lots of harmonies, and then solos
that showcase our individual styles. Martha is classically trained
and crosses over into Broadway and I sing Broadway but can also
cross over to classical,” Glenn said. “Martha and I, and Jim
Whitaker our accompanist, put a lot of energy into our shows
and have a lot of fun. The experience is very joyful for us
and, ultimately, hopefully, for the audience.”
Proceeds
from the event will help HHDF lend a hand to an area family
facing critical housing needs.
The
organization hopes to raise enough money at this event to support
local fundraising for the Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity
house.
With
construction underway on four homes in Cave Creek, this event
will also raise awareness to help support HHDF’s mission of
working with people from all walks of life to build homes
and promote wholesome communities.
HHDF
sells homes to families who work and live in the Desert Foothills
at a zero percent interest mortgage. To learn more about becoming
