Desert Chorale presents 'Laudate'
Sonoran Desert Chorale presents "Laudate! Voices of Praise"
on Sunday, March 26 at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church. The concert
will feature Ralph Vaughan William's "Mass in G Minor."
In addition, the Chorale will present "Buccinate in Neomenia
Tuba" by Giovanni Croce, "Praise The Lord, O Jerusalem"
of Henry Purcell (with organ), Richard Nance's three movement
"Credo" with soloists, oboe, harp, organ and timpani
and a Mongolian folk song featuring tenor solo.
Pinnacle Presbyterian Church is located at the corner of Pima
and Happy Valley Roads in North Scottsdale. The performance begins

Classical
pianist performs benefit concert
DESERT FOOTHILLS - Charles Wells, an internationally acclaimed
composer and classical concert pianist, will perform romantic
classics during a benefit concert sponsored by the Carefree/Cave
Creek Rotary Club. The evening will feature 90 minutes of music
from well loved works such as Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, Debussy's
Claire de Lune, and Chopin's Nocturne in E flat.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. March 25 at the Desert Hills Presbyterian
Church, 34605 N. Tom Darlington Dr. in Scottsdale. To purchase

programs free at library
CAVE CREEK - Music, dance, instruments, stories and rhymes are
all part of free children's programs through April at Desert Foothills
Library, 38443 N. Schoolhouse Rd. No registration is required,
but children must be accompanied by an adult.
Mondays: 10:45 a.m., "Little One Time," stories,
songs, & finger plays for birth-2 years; 11:30 a.m., "Let's
Sing and Dance" helps little ones from birth 5 years learn
music, dance and instrument play.
Wednesdays: 4 p.m., "Family Story & Music Time,"
all ages.
Thursdays: 10:45 a.m., "Preschool Time," story
time with great books, rhymes, and songs for children 3-5 years.
Bilingual Story Time: April 13, 1 p.m., all ages-the fun of language
with songs, stories, and rhymes in Spanish and English.
Scholastic Book Fair begins April 30. Proceeds support the children's
section of the library.
