Obituarty - Diane Flax

Diana Flax died March 23, 2007, in Carefree, Ariz. after a courageous bout with ALS.  She was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 3, 1934 and moved to Arizona in 1975.  Loved by legions of people, Diana (or “Mama Dee” as many called her) was survived by her children:  Judge Bruce R. and Loren Cohen; Dr. Stephen and Stephanie Cohen; and Meryl Lawrence, as well as her six grandchildren: Joshua Kaplan, Brandon Lawrence, Jared Cohen, Lindsay Cohen, Arielle Cohen and Zachary Cohen.  In lieu of flowers or other commemorating items, memorial donations may be made in Diana’s honor to the “Zachary Cohen Celebration of Life Fund” at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Foundation Office, 1919 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ, 85016.  A Tribute Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the auditorium in the lower level of the Scottsdale Public Library, Scottsdale Civic Center Branch, 3839 North Drinkwater Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ, 85251.
