Morgan endorses Schwan

Carefree needs David Schwan returned to the town council. David has worked responsibly and effectively on the council these last two years. His liaison responsibility on streets and the Planning and Zoning Commission has been carried out with great results.

David Schwan has represented the town and the mayor on committees which work with the Board of Education and the Cave Creek School District. He has taken a leadership role with VOY (the Voices of Youth) and mentors these Carefree Shadows High School students as they learn the workings of the political process on local, state and national issues.

David Smith, Mr. Schwan’s opponent, has offered nothing but shallow rhetoric and false accusations, not to mention embarrassment to himself and our community by his removal from the state legislature. Smith’s request for debate rings false when we realize he refused to attend a public forum for exchange of ideas and issues on February 13.

I am asking Carefree voters to carefully examine the records of Mr. Schwan and Mr. Smith. I encourage you to evaluate who you can trust and be proud to have represent you on the council and in our community. If you do, I believe you’ll agree with me. Schwann is the one.
