| Members
of the Special Forces Association Chapter 22 gather
at Cave Creek resident Marc Malin’s home April 14. More
than 160 former Special Forces soldiers and spouses
partied past midnight at the annual “Spring Fling” and
were entertained by The Rio Verde Band, which included
the bassist from Steppenwolf and drummer from Lynard
Skynard. Members of the chapter represent all eras of
Special Forces involvement from its inception in1952
through the Korean War, Vietnam, the Cold War and present‑day
conflicts. Approximately 90 percent of the members have
been decorated for bravery, according to Malin. |
