for Cave Creek zip code smells like elitism
What’s
with Cave Creek Councilwoman Kim Brennan’s
attempt to get a new zip code for Creekers?
This
smells like elitism at its worst, and it’s
exactly the type of attitude that Cave Creek
residents used to complain about with regard
to their Carefree neighbors.
We
don’t need another Anthem‑New River‑Desert
Hills battle in this corner of the Valley,
and if the councilwoman thinks that those
little lines near Black Mountain on the map
separating Cave Creek, Phoenix, Scottsdale
and Carefree are really meaningful, she needs
a reality check. The Northeast Valley is the
Northeast Valley, and a few blocks one way
or another is of little difference to all
but the most uppity snobs among us.
