Claims adjustor David Conger notes the extensive damage to Daisy Mountain Fire Department’s newest truck, Engine 141. The truck, valued at $350,000‑$400,000 fully equipped, was hit head‑on April 14 by a Lexus on New River Road while responding to an emergency call, causing the nearly 40,000‑pound engine to roll completely over. The driver of the Lexus, a New River resident, died in the impact.
