Freshman Vanessa Vogel returns a volley for Boulder Creek April 18 in the Jaguars’ 5‑2 win over Deer Valley in the quarterfinals of the 5A‑Division II state tournament. Boulder Creek advanced to the state championship match, where it faced Desert Mountain.
