‘Secret Garden’ blooms in Desert Foothills

CAVE CREEK –  The magical world of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s often adapted novel “The Secret Garden” will be given a fresh interpretation, this time in dance, at the Desert Foothills Dance Spring Performance on Saturday May 6.

People of all ages will delight in this heartwarming tale of a young orphan girl who discovers a secret garden on her uncle’s desolate English property and brings it–and the family living there–back to life. It’s the perfect story to welcome the spring season.

Students of Desert Foothills Dance, ranging in age from 5 to 65, will perform choreography in a variety of styles including classical ballet, jazz and modern dance.

This is a special event with only one performance at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday May 6 at Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center, 33606 N. 60th St. in Cave Creek. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 (adults) and $5 (students). To reserve tickets, call (480) 219‑7980. For information, call(480) 488‑4438.
