Rachael
A. Gevarter,
Rachael
A. Gevarter, daughter of Russell Gevarter, step‑daughter
of Mary Gevarter (New River residents for 9
years), graduated from Trinity University, San
Antonio, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in
Urban Studies and Economics with a minor in
Environmental Studies. Commencement took place
on May 12.
She
attended Trinity on a full ROTC scholarship.
Rachael started with ROTC in Junior High School.
The
same day as her graduation, at 7 p.m. at The
University of Texas at San Antonio, she was
commissioned into the United States Air Force
as Second Lieutenant.
She
will be stationed at Offutt AFB in Omaha, Neb.,
as a cost analyst.
Fiore
E. Pellegrino
Air
Force Airman Fiore E. Pellegrino has graduated
from basic military training at Lackland Air
Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
During
the six weeks of training, the airman studied
the Air Force mission, organization, and military
customs and courtesies; performed drill and
ceremony marches, and received physical training,
rifle marksmanship training, field training
exercises, and special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training
earn credits toward an associate degree through
the Community College of the Air Force.
He
is the son of Christine Cunningham of North
State Highway 47, Warrenton, Mo., and Anthony
Pellegrino of North Central Avenue, Desert Hills,
Ariz.
