Excellent coverage of Falcons’ state title run

As Jerome Peña’s mom, I just want to personally thank you for the article in the May 17 Desert Advocate. It’s great to see someone appreciates the CSHS baseball team winning the state championship title. These boys worked hard and it was well deserved. Your new coverage on the front page of the sports section blew me away. Beautiful job.

In reference to Jason Stone’s editorial (“Stone’s Throw”), I, too, was very disappointed with the attendance of fans. We didn’t have an assistant principal, principal or an athletic director in the stands. There was no support from the faculty at CSHS. They couldn’t attend the quarterfinal, semifinal or, most of all, the championship game. Wow. How embarrassing!

Shame on you, Clay, Mr. Bailey, Pete and Monica!
