Unwanted phone books an eyesore

Does anyone really want the phone books that are dropped off on the ground under our mail boxes in Desert Hills and New River?

I think not, because most of them–maybe 95 percent–are still in the same place (more or less) as they were over a week ago. Doesn’t it bother anyone else but me?

If you don’t want to use them, then please put them in the trash! Sometimes I think America is starting to look like Tijuana, or some other place where people just don’t see the trash that is lying right under their noses or feet or car window.

Maybe we could all get a trash pickup group together in each of our neighborhoods just to clean up this eyesore every year. Or better yet, if everyone would just bend over while they are picking up their mail, maybe they would get some exercise. Thank you.
