Charles Richard Sanderson

Better‑known to most as “Chuck”

Chuck was born in Rifle, Colo. and later adopted in Colorado Springs, Colo. At a young age, he ran off with race trackers to race horses, and ended up in Phoenix at Turf Paradise where he met his wife, Nena (Osgood) Sanderson. Together they had five children: Richard Sanderson (Michelle), Sissy (Sanderson) Masters (Jim),Doti (Sanderson) Gonzalez, and Kriste (Sanderson) Laidlaw (John), all of Black Canyon City, Ariz.; and Brandon Sanderson (Jennifer),of  Prescott Valley, Ariz.

He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, one on the way, and one great grandchild, five brothers, five sisters, one step sister and many nieces and nephews.

He will be sorely missed by all. A good cowboy gone to greener pastures. Ride, cowboy, ride. We love you.
