Shadows athletic director Monica Barrett is not new
to the school or her position. Barrett will be entering
her 17th year with the school and 2006‑07 will
be her second stint as athletic director after holding
the post for seven years in the mid‑1990s.

Cave Creek’s Cactus Foothills Little League North
Tigers claimed the division championship earlier this
month with a 12-4 record. The team’s season wrapped
up June 14 when it lost 5-0 at the Tournament of Champions
at South Mountain Little League. Team members included
Brandon VanBibber, Sam McInerney, Alex Larson, Ryan
Leander, Tyler Brock, Jeffrey Kunkel, Andrew Neill,
Cameron Larson, Ryan Betcher, Hunter Zimmerman, Devon
Palomino, Jared McIntyre and Brock Richard..
