Daisy Mountain vets want you

ANTHEM – Daisy Mountain veterans invite the community to participate in their programs at Anthem Community Park during the Independence Day celebrations, July 3.

Volunteers will be writing post cards to wounded veterans, and individuals from all vocations are asked to sign up to donate time and talents during August and September to help with Anthem’s 2006 Veteran’s Day Parade and Family Picnic.

Boy Scout Troop 432 will collect and properly dispose of old or damaged American flags.

Local veterans are invited to join Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12031 or American Legion Daisy Mountain Post 128. Women related to vets can learn about the American Legion Auxiliary.
