Stampede rolls out of state

DVUSD – The North Valley Stampede summer club baseball team will soon return from nearly two weeks of games outside of Arizona. The Stampede played a handful of games in California and at the Klamath Falls Tournament in Oregon. Results of the games were unavailable at press time.

The Stampede were scheduled to finish the trip at 7 p.m. June 28 at Tulare (Calif.) High School.

After three home games this weekend for the Stampede–June 30 against Line Drives and a July 1 doubleheader against Clash–the team will host the Pro‑9 Invitational July 6‑9 at Boulder Creek High School.


Boulder Creek dancers wash cars for money

ANTHEM – The dance team from Boulder Creek High School will be holding a fundraising carwash July 15 to raise money for the team to attend camp at Northern Arizona University in late July.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the dancers will be at the Pizza Hut on Anthem Way to wash cars. Last month, the team held a similar carwash and a dance clinic to help them get started raising the funds needed to go to Flagstaff.
