Phoenix Fire Department personnel were on the scene June 22 after a two‑car collision at Cave Creek Road and Rancho Paloma. Fortunately, no one was injured in the late‑afternoon crash, although the same can’t be said for the Suzuki Grand Vitara in the background.

Moving crews at Black Mountain Elementary School were busy trying to beat the heat last week while working to transfer desks and equipment from BMES to the Sonoran Trails Middle School former campus. BMES is taking over the campus now that Sonoran Trails has moved to the new campus near Pinnacle Peak Road and 56th Street. The moving process will continue through July, as the newly configured campuses open in August.
