Government
no longer responsive to the people
Mr.
President, senators, and house members,
In
my 76‑plus years, I have experienced some American
history firsthand that has been denied you. World
War II is among them. It is the last war we won because
it was the last one we fought to win.
You
are hell‑bent to insure our loss in this current
war.
When
we lose this one, the “Great Experiment” will have
come to nothing because government forgot, or failed
to care, that its first charge is to preserve and
protect the Constitution against all enemies, foreign
and domestic. Against the plenitude of threats that
face us with destruction, you will not focus. Honestly,
why?
You’ve
abandoned your oaths, and our men in battle, because
you refuse to put the country on a war footing, and
you have abandoned the Constitution in favor of taking
unto yourselves the powers that are rightly reserved
to the several states and to the people. You don’t
know what war footing, total war and unconditional
surrender means? ask the survivors and read. As your
teacher of old might say, “compare and contrast ‘total
war’ and ‘limited war’ throughout history.” Where
does the Islamic Jihad find a place in this? What
do the Jihadist leaders say?
And,
why? Pride? Power? These have blinded you. You scuffle
amongst yourselves while liberty bleeds. Congress
behaves like Roman soldiers dividing spoils beneath
the Cross.
God
is barred from public life. Americans know little
or nothing of their history. Many don’t even know
the words to their National Anthem; it has become
a showcase for entertainers rather than a statement
of citizen belief.
America’s
borders have nearly vanished while we are at war.
Why have you presided over that?
How
many miracles do you expect from Homeland Security?
How many have you earned? What have you prepared American
fighting spirit to do when we sustain a wound so severe
that 9/11 pales in its destructive shadow?
You
play Russian roulette with the life of our republic,
making back‑room deals and ginning up laws you
do not understand, thus seeding minefields of unintended
consequences that may plague us to death, all while
American soldiers fight with hands tied because of
your callous failure to care that the rules of engagement
are troop killers.
Examine
your home for things recently manufactured in the
U.S. by its citizens. Why are they not only few but
in some cases missing, or nearly so?
Span
the globe and consider the methods other powerful
nations use against us to pursue their national interests
at our expense. Political fecklessness squanders time,
precious time, better spent keenly focused on turning
our nation from its path toward destruction.
Your
self‑absorption poisons us. Two hundred and
thirty years or so is a short life since the Declaration
of Independence presciently encouraged Americans to
rise against a government that is no longer responsive
to the people.
Freedom
will not survive social licentiousness, and most Americans
are dangerously blind to the differences between rights
and license.
Disappointedly,
David
