Paula Gregg leads this decorative gourd crafting workshop
with a unique twist ‑ a ‘free‑floating’
pine needle coil that follows the rim of the gourd bowl and
then continues to curl around in any shape imaginable.
Students learn the art of pine needle coiling and make
their gourd unique with this free form shape. Gourds can also
be decorated with wood‑burning, dyes, stains and other
natural materials. Limit

workshop gives participants an overview of many herbs that
perform well in our desert region.
Examples of herbs for culinary, crafting, aromatherapy,
medicinal, and other uses will be covered, as well as an overview
of basic herb care. Kirti Mathura, Garden horticulturist, instructs
participants on how to create an herb garden as well as how
to incorporate herbal plants into their landscapes. Time will be given to begin drafting a design
for your own garden. Limit 12.
