ANTHEM
– It’s a community with an organization that prides itself
on supporting those in need.
We
Care in Anthem was established in 2002 by Eric Kilstrom
and other Anthem residents and businesses with the hope
of caring for Anthem children suffering from serious illness.
As We Care in Anthem has grown, it continues to dedicate
it’s time and efforts to the families of these children.
In
turn, friends and neighbors have been discovered to be
in need of emotional or financial support as well.
From
now through September 1, you can enter a family or individual
in the Dream Patio Makeover drawing. The winner of the
makeover will receive a patio/backyard facelift including
patio furniture, potted plants, a firepit and garden accessories;
everything needed to make an outdoor space into the outdoor
room of your dreams.
Many
local businesses such as White Elephant Custom Landscapes,
Eccentric Gourmet, D ‘n’ T Home Repair, Roll With It Painting,
Party in a Box, Plumbing Professionals and others have
volunteered their time and materials to help make this
project a reality.
Stop
by Ace Hardware Store in Anthem and pick up and entry
form, or download one at imagesaz.com or ioanthem.com.
Complete and present the form, along with a photo and
a short paragraph on why you are nominating this person
or family, to an Ace Hardware in Anthem cashier.
A
$5 entry fee is required to enter and 100 percent of the
proceeds from the entry fees
will be donated to We Care in Anthem.
Entry
forms will be accepted at Ace Hardware in Anthem throughout
the summer, with the winner of the Dream Patio Makeover
selected and contacted Labor Day weekend.
The
makeover crew will then meet with the winner and begin
preparations for their patio’s transformation. Upon completion
the winning family will be treated to a catered reception
for up to 12 friends.
