CAVE
CREEK – The Cave Creek Unified School
District has scheduled the Capital Override
and Bond Election to be held Nov. 6.
The capital override would be for more
than $32 million and the bond would
be more than $123 million. Bond funds
would be used for high school facilities,
building improvements/replacements,
grounds improvements and pupil transportation
vehicles.
DVUSD
offers two kindergarten
options
DVUSD
– All elementary schools in the Deer
Valley Unified School District will
be offering full‑day kindergarten.
Parents
have the option of registering their
children for half‑day or full‑day
kindergarten. All students will receive
instruction in literacy and mathematics
during the morning. Students attending
the full‑day kindergarten will
continue their tutoring on these subjects
during the afternoon session.
Children
must be age five on or before Aug. 31
to attend. Registration for classes
begins July 30. To find out what school
you would like your child to attend,
consult the Boundary Map section on
the district Web site at dvusd.org.
To
register, you will need to bring a copy
of the child’s birth certificate, immunization
records, proof of residence and identification.
Library
to sponsor end of summer bash
NORTH
VALLEY – The Desert Broom Library will
sponsor an end of summer party for teens
12‑18 from noon to 4:30 p.m. Aug.
4th.
The
party will feature games, karaoke, DDR,
guitar hero, snacks and more. Admission
is free. Desert Broom Library is located
at 29710 N. Cave Creek Rd. in Phoenix.
