NORTH
VALLEY – Developers of The Shops at Norterra estimate
their multimillion dollar new shopping
center, to be built east of I‑17
at Norterra Parkway, will be finished by
fall 2007.
The
shopping center is a joint effort of RED
Development and USAA Real Estate Company.
RED
Development marketing coordinator Stephanie
Case said the center will have scenic walkways,
grassy areas, trees and landscaping, along
with shopping establishments.
The
340,000 square foot center will be located
on the north side of Happy Valley Road at
Norterra Parkway.
“I
think it’s going to be a great addition
to the North Valley,” Case said. “We’re
looking forward to being able to offer some
retail and some additional restaurants,”
she continued.
RED
Development’s Chicago office said Harkins
Theatre, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Best
Buy will be among the “anchor retailers.”
The
developer is currently in
negotiations with clothiers Ann Taylor Loft,
Coldwater Creek, American Eagle, Pac Sun,
and Journeys.
Possible
dining choices include Gordon Biersch, a
California‑based brewery and restaurant;
Bravo, an Italian restaurant chain based
in Columbus, Ohio, and Johnny Rockets, a
1950' style diner based in California.
