Visitors
along Easy Street may have noticed two new lampposts
have sprouted out of the ground near the amphitheater.
Carefree Planning Director Gary Neiss said the two posts
are part of a pilot program to enhance safety around
the parking lot at night.
Neiss explained the town has gotten a lot of positive
feedback about the posts, and more will be installed
around the area in the coming year. The lights are designed
to illuminate the ground area only, thus preserving
the nighttime skyscape. |
