Carefree’s
new $500,000 fire truck
Carefree’s new $500,000 fire truck was on display outside
Town Hall on Aug. 1 when Mayor Ed Morgan
turned the keys over to Chief Gary Morris of Rural/Metro.
During the regular council meeting,
Morgan praised Vice Mayor Wayne Fulcher for his efforts as
head of the fire protection committee that worked on the town’s
contract with Rural/Metro which goes into effective Jan. 1,
2007.
He also thanked Carefree resident Glen Miller, a former Chicago
firefighter, for yeoman’s work on the committee, including
inspecting the vehicle in Wyoming before delivery. |
