Box tops equal cash

ANTHEM – Anthem schools and General Mills have partnered to benefit education programs.

The four Anthem elementary schools are joining the Box Tops for Education program, which gives schools 10 cents for every box top from selected General Mills, Kleenex, Cottonelle, Pillsbury and Betty Crocker products. The program is designed to raise money for schools without having to ask for cash donations. Only elementary schools are allowed to participate, however.

Box top coordinators at Gavilan Peak, Diamond Canyon, Anthem and Canyon Springs schools have teamed with local businesses and organizations to place collection boxes at their locations. There are also drop‑off boxes at the Anthem Community Center, Wal‑Mart, Safeway, Starbucks and the regional library.

For a complete listing of eligible products, visit www.boxtops4education.com. For other questions about the program, contact Gavilan Peak coordinator Debbie Iannarelli at (623) 266‑4100.
