Darkness of the fires of hell

I read with amusement and sadness the letter from Mr. Terry Alexander who attempted to ridicule Pastor Huck on his views of evolution and creationism.

Amusement because he believes God, who is light and love, the awesome creator of the universe, needs to have a sun at the ready to have light available for the plants and vegetation He created. Mr. Alexander doesn’t realize that the one true God is sovereign over all that exists,

and that He often exercises His unlimited freedom to overturn human customs, traditions, rules and plans.

Sadness because Mr. Alexander’s obvious extreme scientific intelligence has blinded him to the only truth that is relevant to life–the truth of God and our Lord Jesus. I pray he has the chance to turn to God and repent before his life ends or the only ones who will be impressed with his profound knowledge will be his peers, huddled with him in the darkness of the fires of hell.
