Nonpartisan?
Let’s be accurate
In
your Aug. 10 edition there was a letter to the
editor titled, “Political candidates should be
forthright with voters.” In it, the Center for
Arizona Policy was labeled as “nonpartisan,” as
was its Voter’s Guide.
To
call the Center for Arizona Policy nonpartisan
couldn’t be further from the truth. It is a far‑right
conservative entity, founded by candidate for
governor Len Munsil, that lobbies the legislature
on conservative religious and moral issues. If
one visits their Web site, it is pretty obvious
from first glance what side of the aisle they
are on.
I
don't know what the author (Warren Goodrich, Scottsdale)
intended by this misrepresentation, or if he truly
did not know, but let’s be accurate about who
they are and what candidates they support.
