Time to register for Fall Ball

CAVE CREEK – Registration for the Cactus Foothills Little League North’s Fall Ball is scheduled for Aug. 23, 26 and 30.

The sign‑ups will be held from 6‑8 p.m. on Aug. 23; from 9 a.m.‑noon on Aug. 26, and from 6‑8 p.m. on Aug. 30. The sign‑ups will be held at Black Mountain Elementary School (the former home of Sonoran Trails Middle School), located at: 33606 N. 60th Street.

Fall Ball is development‑league designed for players to further their baseball fundamentals. The focus is on learning, not on competition.

Arizona Sports Complex forms leagues

VALLEY – Soccer leagues are now forming at the Arizona Sports Complex, which has just built a new outdoor soccer/flag football arena with state‑of‑the‑art turf.

The complex is located at  3555 W. Pinnacle Peak Road and is the newest indoor sports facility in North Phoenix. It has two full‑size indoor arenas, a pro shop, a snack bar, preschool and one full‑size outdoor arena.

For youth players interested in the Fall Lil’ Kickers Program, the Roller Plex at 75th Avenue and Paradise Lane in Peoria will hold an open house from 1‑3 p.m. Aug. 26. The Lil’ Kickers Program, which is aimed at kids 18 months through 9 years, will begin classes Sept. 5.

The program has six levels depending on age and skill level.
