NORTH SCOTTSDALE – The Pinnacle Peak Rotary Club is collecting used musical instruments for students in need.

The group is collecting musical instruments in good working condition to loan to needy youngsters for use in Cave Creek primary schools’ band and orchestral programs. School budget cuts have limited music education opportunities for those who cannot afford to rent or buy practice instruments.

To participate, contact Gary Cohen, (480) 595‑0793.

4‑H Club forming

NEW RIVER/DESERT HILLS A 4‑H Club for members with or without horses is forming in the New River/Desert Foothills area.

Coordinator Laurie Gengler, with 30 years experience in horsemanship, has been a 4‑H leader for four years. She teaches hunt seat, dressage and western.  She is also looking for a volunteer co‑leader. Horse experience is helpful, but not required.
