CREEK – Theater students invite
the community to a coffee house‑style
improvisational show, at 7 p.m.
Sept. 8, at Cactus Shadows High
School Fine Arts Center.
The
school’s theater department’s
Shadowbox Players will perform
improvisation games in a format
similar to the “Who's Line is
It, Anyway?” television show,
according to a school release.
The audience is encouraged to
interact with the cast, but some
material may be inappropriate
for students under middle‑school
age, the release cautioned.
Admission
is $4 per person, with refreshments

Community Prevention Forums kicks
off 2006‑2007

CREEK– Parents and students can
learn more about Internet dangers
at the year’s first meeting of
Community Prevention Forums.
Scottsdale
Police Det. Frank Griffitts was
slated to talk on Tuesday about
the cyber threats students may
be facing every day, including
blogging, cyber bullying, harassment,
threats, child pornography and
cyber stalking. Following the
one‑hour presentation, organizers
will hold a question
and answer session.
The
Community Prevention Forums are
sponsored by Foothills Awareness
Citizens Taskforce (FACT), the
Cave Creek Unified School District
Prevention Department, and the
Scottsdale Area Association of
Realtors. The monthly meetings
are held at the Fine Arts Center,
33606 N. 60th St.
