Carpenter
is the best candidate for state Senate
Republican
voters face a choice this primary election between
two candidates for the state senate nomination.
I support Ted Carpenter. Ted served more than
25 years with the Phoenix Fire Department and
is now retired. My Dad served 35 years on the
Phoenix department, knew Ted and thought a lot
of him. Ted once got the Fireman of the Year
award for saving a kid’s life.
I
served with Ted on the Deer Valley School Board.
Though probably the most conservative member
of the board, and very careful with the dollar,
he was a great board member and always supported
the kids and the parents.
Three
facts distinguish Ted and make him the better
choice. First, Ted has experience; he has served
eight years in the House of Representatives,
15 years on the school board and lived in the
district
for 30 years. Second, Ted voted for the Republican
budget. Third, lots of politicians take credit
for what others have done; Ted is not one of
them.
We
have a group of three candidates for the Legislature
from Anthem–one for the state Senate seat and
two for the two state House seats. Anthem can
claim a seat at the table, but shouldn’t grab
all three, with the rest of the district getting
nothing. That’s not fair. Vote for Carpenter
for state Senate and you’ll give the whole district
an experienced and genuine Republican voice.
