CCUSD meetings switch sites

CAVE CREEK – Governing Board meetings for the Cave Creek Unified School District are moving to a new home. Starting Sept. 19, CCUSD will host its board meetings at the media center at the former Black Mountain Elementary School campus.

The school, located at 33016 N. 60th St., replaces the old meeting site in the Fine Arts Center. For meeting information, contact Linda Schaner at (480) 575‑2016 or lschaner@ccusd93.org.

 

Event for English‑learners

CAVE CREEK – CCUSD is hosting a Fall Information Evening Sept. 14 for families with English language needs. The event is an opportunity for English‑learners and their families to learn about the programs and services available in the district. The event begins at 6 p.m. in the Cactus Shadows High School media center, 5802 E. Dove Valley Rd., Scottsdale.

 

Net safety is focus of forum

CAVE CREEK – Internet safety will be the focus Sept. 5 in the first of a series of prevention forums sponsored by the Foothills Awareness Citizens Taskforce (F.A.C.T.). Det. Frank Griffitts from the Scottsdale Police Department will address “Internet Safety 101,” including blogging, cyber bullying, harassment, threats, child pornography and cyber stalking. The event is held from 6:30‑8:30 p.m. at the Fine Arts Center, 33606 N. 60th St., Scottsdale.
