Rotary
Roundup in Anthem
The
5th annual Rotary Roundup will start at 6 p.m.
Sept. 22 at Pioneer The Past Restaurant and Saloon
at 3901 W. Pioneer Rd. in Phoenix.
The
event includes barbeque, music and a silent auction.
This is a major fundraiser for local schools and
Sunrise House Orphanage in Uganda.
Anthem
Rotary is searching for sponsors and patrons for
this upcoming event located just south of Anthem.
AZ
DANCE will perform and Tumbleweed Junctions will
provide music.

Diversity
subject of conference
The
sixth annual Diversity Leadership Conference will
take place from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 20
at Phoenix Convention Center, 111 N. 3rd. St.
in Phoenix.
The
purpose of the event is to bring folks together
to learn how to be successful working with people
from diverse cultures.
The
sponsor‑supported conference will have 100
business booths offering promotional opportunities,
six adult workshops, four youth workshops (to
help teens transition from school to work), teen
entertainment a panel of top community executives
to answer questions about diversity in the global
workplace.
More
than 2,000 representatives are expected to attend
the day‑long event.
The
event is free and open to the public.

Texas BBQ!” at 6 p.m. Sept. 15

by the Steven Barker Band featuring Jeff Farias
of KPHX and Democratic politics are also on menu
