O’Connor finishes 3‑5 at Sunrise Mtn. tourney

NORTH VALLEY – O’Connor won three of eight matches last week in the Carol Chase Memorial Tournament at Sunrise Mountain High School. The Eagles beat Westview twice and Central, but dropped matches to Sunnyslope, Shadow Mountain, Notre Dame, Arcadia and Northwest Region‑foe North Canyon.

The tournament came at the end of a week that saw O’Connor split its first two region matches. The Eagles opened with a 3‑1 loss to Kingman on Sept. 5, but rallied for a three‑game sweep at Deer Valley two nights later.
