VALLEY
– A middle‑age man found dead in Anthem in March 2006
is among more than 180 unidentified deceased persons listed
on a new searchable Internet database created by the Maricopa
County Medical Examiner’s Office.
“This
feature has been developed in an effort to assist people
that are searching for missing loved ones and to let the
public take a role in solving some of the unidentified cases,”
according to a news release from the examiner’s office.
Similar
Web sites in other jurisdictions throughout the country
have been valuable in helping identify deceased individuals
and allowing their families to achieve closure.
The
unidentified man discovered in Anthem appeared to have been
deceased for several days, according to the Web site.
He
is described as Hispanic or possibly Native American with
black hair, 5‑foot 2‑inches tall, weighing
between 120 and 150 pounds. The listing states he was wearing
black boots, black pants, a black belt and two shirts, one
white and the other green. He was also wearing a gold‑colored
Guess watch. The only photo included in the listing shows
the watch face.
Persons
with possible leads about this case or any others can submit
information to the Medical Examiner electronically through
the Web site, and have the option to provide their contact
information or remain anonymous.
The
examiner’s office warns that some of the posted photographs
may not be suitable for all viewers.
