Boulder
Creek extends winning streak to four
ANTHEM
– It was two matches, two more wins for Boulder Creek, which
has already shattered last year’s win total. The Jaguars beat
Northwest Region foes Trevor Browne and North Canyon last week
to improve to 4‑2 in the region and 12‑3 overall.
Even
more important, Boulder Creek’s third and fourth consecutive
wins in region play moved the team up to third in the region
standings and fifth in 5A‑Division II in power points.
The
Jaguars roared to a three‑game sweep on Sept. 19 at Trevor
Browne 25‑17, 25‑22, 25‑10 as Brittany Barnum
collected 10 kills and setter Lindsey Lovell racked up 20 assists.
Boulder Creek then whipped North Canyon a night later at home
25‑14, 25‑22, 25‑12 thanks to Nicole Lentine’s
10 kills, Lovell’s 19 assists and eight service aces, and Brittany
Bartimoccia’s five kills and eight digs.
