The
final day of the festival will be Oct. 31 and children
can safely trick‑and‑treat in costume
at all Rock Springs stores and art fair booths.
Prizes
will be awarded at the children’s costume contest
at 7 p.m. There will also be a prize for the best
adult costume.
A
fresh pie from the Rock Springs Pie Shop will be given
away every hour and a gigantic fireworks display will
light the skies at 8:30 p.m.
The
owners have enlisted hospitality veteran Victor Ostrow,
former general manager of Rawhide Western Town, to
oversee the project under a new management team.
As executive manager Ostrow is responsible for all
redevelopment and improvements on the site.
“My
goal is to create a family experience and entertainment
venue which our friends close by and along the I‑17,
as well as families in neighboring communities, will
enjoy,” Ostrow said. “I‑17 is the only north/south
highway, and we want to make sure everyone passing
on that road will know about Rock Springs and want
to stop.”
Rock
Springs is10 minutes north of Anthem and has been
entertaining guests since the early 1900s while serving
breakfast, lunch and dinner in an eclectic western
setting.
Famous
for its award‑winning pies such as Jack Daniels
Pecan Pie and its crumbled topping fruit pies, Rock
Spring Pie Co. makes it the treats on site.
A
former stagecoach depot, Rock Springs offers old‑fashioned
fun in a unique setting and is a must‑see stop
along the along the Arizona landscape.
