Jaguars have long trip to Yuma
Cibola 22, Boulder Creek 7
by Jason Stone

ANTHEM – Boulder Creek nearly matched Cibola in total yardage during last week’s game in Yuma, but it was the scoreboard that mattered most.

The Jaguars racked up 262 total yards, which was only 29 less than Cibola, but lost on the scoreboard 22‑7.

Davis Jacobs returned to action to rack up another 100‑yard rushing night. The senior racked up 109 yards on 10 carries to back up the 115 yards he had in the opening game at Valley Vista five weeks ago.

Devin Contreras had Boulder Creek’s only touchdown run on the night.

Just about the entire Cibola offense revolved around one running back. Brandon Hall carried the ball 35 times–all but nine of Cibola’s total–for 211 yards and two touchdowns.

Anthony Chavira scored on a touchdown pass from Scott Stover for Cibola’s other score.
