The new Town of Carefree fire station on Tom Darlington Drive at Luck Lane is just weeks away from opening, as workers continue to finish the final details. Rural/Metro emergency personnel may be able to move into the facility as soon as Nov. 5, according to town officials, although move‑in could be as late as Nov. 17, the date of the station’s official grand opening.

The Boulder Creek High School Dance Team entertains the crowd Oct. 5 in Anthem during halftime of the Homecoming game between BCHS and Willow Canyon. Boulder Creek fans went home unhappy, however, as Willow Canyon spoiled their night with a 28‑15 win.
