PASTOR HUCK KUSNER

The mark of the beast

Q: Is there any way to change your mind after receiving the mark of the beast during the prophesied seven‑year tribulation time period?

A: Change your mind now about waiting to change your mind later. You won’t need a little more time then, when you have a little more time now to welcome Jesus Christ into your life. Get off the fence, as it belongs to Lucifer. Surrendering total control of one’s life to Jesus today seems much easier than cutting off your hand or scalping your marked‑up forehead tomorrow. (See Rev 14:9‑10.)

Even those who perceive no need for Jesus today understand that if we don’t stand for something, we’ll fall for anything. Stand boldly for Jesus today and be counted worthy to escape these coming catastrophes. (See Luke 21:36.) Whatever you do, don’t bet against a book that is geographically, historically, archaeologically and prophetically true 100 percent of the time.

There are always going to be opponents of Christianity like Rosie O’Donnell who, on “The View,” recently said, “Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America.”

Donald E. Wildmon of the American Family Association reported Kevin Reilly, an executive at NBC, saying, “Madonna considered the scene mocking the crucifixion of Christ the highlight of her show.

We (NBC) viewed it and didn’t see it as being inappropriate.”

Phil Vischer, the creator of “Veggie Tales,” notes that NBC has censored “Veggie Tales” content such as “God made you special and He loves you very much” from being shown on Saturday mornings, according to an American Family Association Action Alert. How does anyone in his right mind approve Madonna on a cross but censor “Veggie Tales?”

The irony is they are all seeking that illusive land of peace, love and safety. They’re longing to live that Anne Murray song of 1983. “Nobody robbed a liquor store on the lower side of town. Nobody OD’ed, nobody burned a single building down. Nobody fired a shot in anger, nobody had to die in vain. ... How I wanna hear the anchor man tell me about a county fair, and how

we cleaned up the air, how everybody learned how to care. ... Nobody was assassinated in the whole third world today. And in the streets of Ireland, all the children had to do was play.

And everybody loves everybody in the good old U.S.A. We sure could use a little good news today.”

That’s all part of the Jesus package. Only God can pull that miracle off. The world’s track record of peace and love looks like a junkyard of debris and destruction. It’s time to kneel before God and ask forgiveness.

I hope you’ll read the closing scripture references and get a glimpse of the coming attractions with King Jesus. (See Isaiah 11:1‑9, 65:17‑25.)

Don’t wait.
