The
Isadora model is the largest of Pulte's homes at Montana
Tierra. Its 2,448 square feet houses three bedrooms
and two‑and‑a‑half baths, with an
option of a fourth bedroom instead of a loft.

the Isadora model, the loft looks down over the formal
living room, which, in turn, looks out onto the porch.

Montana
Tierra models maximize the minimum

Energy
is not the only efficiency incorporated into Pulte Homes’
houses in its Vista Series at Montana
Tierra. From the homebuilder recognized by the U.S.
Department
of Energy for implementing principles of energy efficiency
into design and construction,
these houses also exhibit efficient use of space in their
floor plans that makes them live larger than their actual
size.
Models
range in size from 1,490 square feet in the Saratoga to
2,448 square feet in the Isadora, and all come in at two
stories. Six models are available in the community– three
of them are open as showcase models at the sales office
site. With sales already under way, the models recently
opened to the public on September 22. Every model features
the “no step entry,” a slight, handicap accessible ramp
achieved by having the concrete poured flush with the door.
The
Savannah model is one of the smaller homes, at 1,760 square
feet. The front door enters the living room, where a small
tiled area of floor sets off the entry from the carpeted
main room for a stylish
welcome. Kitchen and dining areas lie straight ahead, with
the kitchen separated from the living room by a half‑wall
low enough to create a sense of spaciousness, yet high enough
to hide the kitchen work space from eyes in the living room.
Kitchen
and dining area fill most of the rear portion of the house–a
very airy, well‑lit space with a window on one side
of the dining room open to the back yard, and sliding doors
on another side open to the patio. A large kitchen island
separates the two areas, with room for two to three bar
stools on the dining room side. Convenient to the kitchen
at one side of the dining area is a deep, walk‑in
pantry.
Beyond the dining room, a short hallway ends at a kitchen
desk area and, next to that, the powder room that serves
downstairs.
Between
the pantry and the powder room, another hallway leads toward
the front of the house, as well as to doors to the coat
closet and the laundry room. The laundry room features cupboards
spanning the wall above where the washer and dryer will
be installed. While not a large room, the laundry doesn’t
serve as the usual access to the garage. Instead, the door
to the two‑car garage is adjacent to the laundry room,
at the end of this hallway.
Stairs
to the second floor ascend from near the dining room and
lead to a landing that functions as a walkway between the
three bedrooms. The master suite lies at the front of the
house, with two windows overlooking the front yard. Its
master bathroom features two sinks, side by side, a deep
bathtub for sitting and soaking, a separate shower stall,
and a large walk‑in closet.
The
home’s two secondary bedrooms sit in adjacent corners separated
by a full Jack and Jill bathroom, which features two sinks
side by side and a separate room shared by the tub and commode.
