Playoff spot fading for O’Connor
by Jason Stone

NORTH VALLEY – Time is running out on the Sandra Day O’Connor football team to make the 5A‑Division II playoffs.

The Eagles dropped their fourth game of the season last week to fall further in the playoff power point rankings that determine seeds for the playoffs.

Then again, after losing 50‑0 to North Canyon, O’Connor is probably not feeling very much like a playoff team at this point. North Canyon scored 29 points in the first‑half and kept O’Connor off the scoreboard for the second time this season.

Jordan Scott did most of the damage against the Eagles, rushing for 250 yards and five touchdowns in the blowout win. Scott’s 67‑yard scoring scamper in the second quarter put North Canyon up 14‑0. He added a TD jaunt of 15 in the second quarter and another 82‑yarder after halftime.
