Cards
loss is too funny for words
I
would love to start this column
by saying I was wrong about
picking the Chicago Bears
to beat the Arizona Cardinals
last week.
But
since I find it so funny that
the Cardinals lost in a fashion
typical only for them, I’ll
just get right to the picks.
Here you go (and check out
that season winning percentage
at the end):
Cactus
Shadows 36, Bradshaw Mountain
16. Even if you are a Doubting
Thomas, do not doubt the Falcons
this season. Cactus Shadows
has passed every big test
this season. No reason to
think the Falcons won’t do
it again.
Boulder
Creek 24, Maricopa 7. Boulder
Creek has momentum for the
first time in the program’s
history and a third straight
victory could be in the Jaguars’
grasp this weekend. A late‑season
surge should carry that momentum
into next season.
Goldwater
24, O’Connor 12. Both teams
badly need victories. O’Connor
needs one in the worst way.
The problem is Goldwater might
be Miles above the Eagles.
Miles Kizer, that is.
ASU
37, Stanford 15. So ASU showed
it had a pulse against USC
and scared the Trojans in
front of an ABC‑TV audience.
Never have I seen Sun Devil
fans so happy about a loss.
If moral victories carry over
the next week, then Stanford
will be in trouble. Then again,
it is Stanford.
Oregon
State 23, Arizona 20. Just
as I guessed last week, when
picking Arizona to lose–they
win. When I pick them to win,
they lose. Even starting their
third‑string quarterback,
I’m pretty sure the Wildcats
are going to beat Oregon
State. Therefore, I am picking
them to lose. Trust me: It
works.
NAU
35, Sacramento State 17. The
Lumberjacks teased me with
their oh‑so‑close
loss to the hated
(by me) Montana Grizzlies
last week. It’s back to Flagstaff
this week for Homecoming against
Sac State, a team we used
to call Suc State. Knowing
NAU, there will be a big letdown
this week and the Jacks will
lose, but I’m praying that’s
not the case.
Cardinals
24, Raiders 17. Hahahahaha.
I was just thinking about
last week’s game and ... hahahahaha.
They couldn’t possibly lose
to the Raiders, could they?
Last
week: 7‑1
Season:
41‑6 (.872)
