Balanced
reporting is refreshing
It
was refreshing to read The Desert Advocate does not and will
not endorse any candidate or
proposition.
The
negativity and biased views generally presented in some local
papers has become tiresome and irrelevant. As voters, we have
the responsibility to keep ourselves informed on an ongoing
basis, not just before an election. Posters, TV ads and biased
reporting tell us nothing substantial.
I
enjoy reading Molly Ivins, Bill O’Reilly and Pat Buchanan.
They present different views and, although I do not agree
with them on a consistent basis, their views are not full
of name calling, innuendo
and hatred.
